Sociology is offered to students at KS5 and delivered by two teachers. Current A2 students are studying the AQAsyllabus, but as of September 2012, AS students will study the OCR syllabus.
Students study current issues in society, such as crime, deviance and the role of youth. At both AS and A2, students will develop the skills of interpretation, application, analysis and evaluation. This ensures that students achieve to the best of their ability and leave with a transferrable set of skills applicable to Higher Education or employment.
