Sixth Form

Life as a Sixth Form student at Epsom and Ewell is exciting, challenging and enjoyable. Every student succeeds and leaves us with excellent qualifications and experiences which will last a life-time. Our results at all levels are good with all students passing their A2s this year. Students also succeed in many other areas of school life, playing an active part in the school house system, performing on stage, taking part in sports events, voluntary service,   trips and the extensive  programme of  enrichment activities.

The Sixth Form has its own unique identity but remains an integral part of the EEHS community. The Sixth Form is housed in a modern building, with a brand new learning resource centre, a refurbished common room and two study rooms. Every classroom in the school has an interactive whiteboard and students are able to access work via the VLE. Students are strongly encouraged to become independent learners and teachers and tutors support them in this quest, helping them plan and prepare for their future.

We are a fully comprehensive Sixth Form Centre with an aim of providing each and every student in our care with the very best deal. Students who choose to be part of our Sixth Form are expected to have high ambitions and expectations of themselves. Most of our GCSE students opt to remain with us and we welcome many students from other schools to our community.

We operate an 'open door' policy at EEHS. You are welcome any time to come and see us in action, meet some students and teachers and get a better idea of what  we have to offer. Everything we do at EEHS places the needs of the students first and I would strongly encourage anyone interested to come and see us or contact us for more details. External students will be sent an application on request. Whilst we accept applications throughout the year we do recommend that you get these in by 31 January 2010 to give you the best possible chance of getting a place.

A variety of courses are offered to suit both academic and vocational pathways.

The courses on offer are:

BTEC Level 3: Health and Social Care, Travel and Tourism, Performing Arts, Sport and Football Coaching

A Levels: Business Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, ICT, Psychology, Sociology, Maths, Media Studies, Art, History, French, Music and Geography.

Along side the studies a vast enrichment programme is in place offering sign language, designing a sixth form newspaper, Spanish, build and construction, composing music and sports leadership.
