Sixth form students take part in mock bar trials
A group of Epsom and Ewell High School sixth formers were fortunate enough to be able to take part in some mock bar trials last weekend. Mock trials are recognised as an effective way of helping young people to understand how the legal system works though utilising real court rooms and real judges.
Students worked very hard in preparation and one of the judge's commented that Joe Quick's cross examination of a witness was "the best he had heard all day".
Students were competing against 11 other schools including several grammar schools. Although Epsom and Ewell High School students just missed out on making it to the final, their performances were outstanding and they should all feel very proud of themselves.
