The Geography Department is an exciting one, with lots going on. There are three full time members of staff teaching the subject.

The subject has become very popular as a choice for GCSE and A level due to the high grades and the commitment to our students, not to mention the fieldtrips. Each year group has a designated trip related to their studies to consolidate their learning in outdoor environments. Last year the trip to Iceland was a great success and the students were buzzing about exploding geysers and standing between two plate margins when they came back.

Magpie (VLE platform) is the hub of all lessons and homework for outside and within school. We encourage all students and parents to look at it frequently to keep up with work and extend their learning. There are extra-curricular clubs run by the department too, including a film club, a gifted and talented workshop and extended revision hours for exam groups.

As a team we want the best for our students and believe a collaborative approach with teacher, student and parent is the beneficial so if you ever have any questions or queries we would really like to hear from you. All of our email addresses are on the school's website.
