Outline

This course gives you the opportunity to work with digital media as well as a variety of techniques and processes, including programmes such as Adobe Photoshop.

Course overview

Component 1: Personal investigation, no time limit, 96 marks and 60% of the A –Level

Students will produce practical and critical/contextual work using the theme of people less portraiture using experimental imagery, multimedia and moving image (video, film, animation).

Students must have an ability to respond to their given theme showing an ability to explore elements of visual language, line, form, colour, pattern and texture in the context of Photography. Students will look at viewpoint, composition, aperture, depth of field, shutter speed, movement and the use of the camera, film, lenses, filters and lighting for their work.

Component 2: Externally set assignment, preparation time from 1st of feb, 15 hours of supervised time, 96 marks and 40% of the A- Level
