EESAT

Following its successful launch last year I am pleased to confirm that this academic year we will be continuing with the Epsom and Ewell High School Standard Assessment Test (EESAT) programme for years 7, 8 and 9, and the Year 10 EESAT, for pupils in year 10.

With the ever changing examination landscape at Key stage 4, it is essential that we prepare our students for what they will undertake at the end of year 11. With this in mind students in years 7 to 10 will complete three pieces of formal assessment each year in each subject (one in each term), the third of which will be a formal examination.

Students will be awarded an EESAT grade that takes into account all three assessments together with teacher judgements. As with GCSEs, students will collect their results at the end of the summer term on a specified results day.
