Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme is a programme of practical, cultural and adventurous activities designed for the development of young people. Challenge is the essence of the concept. The Award Scheme presents a balanced non-competitive programme of voluntary activities which encourages responsibility, self-reliance, personal discovery and perseverance, all leading to the achievement of an Award that is recognised by Universities and employers alike.   Participants have to complete an activity in each of the following sections:

  • Volunteering
  • Skill
  • Physical
  • Expedition

We believe that every student should be given the opportunity to participate in the award and every year we have more and more students getting involved.
